With competition in just about every market at an all-time high, it’s easy to be tempted to take on any and every new customer we can get our hands on. But, there are downfalls to taking on a project or client that doesn’t fit well with who we are and what we do well.
The fact is that no matter how good we are at what we do, we will simply never be the right fit for every single person we meet. Many factors are at play when determining whether a relationship will succeed – and the same is true in business. Personality, areas of expertise and cultural differences can all play a part in a less-than-fruitful partnership.
